Pellet Mill Dies
Super wear-resistant: Adopting special alloy and tungsten carbide strengthening process, the hardness reaches HRC60 or above, and the service life is increased by 3-5 times.
Precision molding: Scientifically designed compression ratio and mold hole structure ensure dense and smooth particles, resulting in excellent product quality.
Efficient production: optimized perforation rate and flow channel design, smooth material flow, and increased production capacity by more than 30%.
Stable and durable: uniform pressure design and toughness treatment ensure long-term stable operation under high temperature and high pressure.
Pellet Mill Dies, commonly known as the ring mold, is the "heart" of the pellet press. It is a circular mold with dense through holes that works in conjunction with the pressure roller. The basic working principle is that powdered raw materials are fed into the compression zone between the ring mold and the pressure roller. As the ring mold rotates, the pressure roller forcefully squeezes the material into the mold hole of the ring mold, compresses it under high pressure, and extrudes it from the outside of the mold hole. After being cut by the cutter, it forms particles of a specified length.

1. Excellent wear resistance and long service life: High quality high alloy steel (such as chromium molybdenum alloy steel) or higher grade tungsten carbide material is used, and special carburizing, quenching and other heat treatment processes are carried out to achieve extremely high hardness on the mold surface (usually up to HRC58-65).
2. Precise molding design ensures product quality: Compression ratio (the ratio of the effective length of the mold hole to its diameter) is the most critical parameter of the mold. Different raw materials (sawdust, straw, feed, etc.) need to be matched with different compression ratios. At the same time, the hole pattern, chamfer, and feed hole shape of the mold holes have been precisely designed and processed.
3. Scientific structural design achieves efficient production: the opening rate (the percentage of the total mold hole area to the total ring mold area) is optimized to increase the number of discharge holes as much as possible while ensuring the strength of the mold structure. A reasonable arrangement of holes is also crucial.
4. Stable performance ensures continuous operation: High quality molds can maintain the uniformity of internal materials and structures, ensuring synchronous and uniform wear with the pressure roller.
